I know that being honest is hard, but don't people realize after a while that it's easier to be honest right off the bat than to spend the rest of your life cleaning up the mess that your lies made?

Funny because I've run into this exact issue with someone who I thought was my friend and then some serious dis-honesty came into play. Why postpone the consequences by faking it and then double the negative outcome when the person eventually finds out you were smiling vacantly to them and decieving them to the umph degree? Do we become more brutally honest with age? I think we're just not as afraid of the disapproval once we're more comfortable with ourselves and our reasoning behind our actions. Does that sound vague? [shrug]
Anyways, good point.
